The new hotel will be the heart of Marievik
The new hotel in Marievik will become the heart of the district, a central meeting place offering an inspiring environment for both work and relaxation. Designed by the acclaimed French architect Manuelle Gautrand, this iconic building will play a key role in revitalizing the area and creating activity around the clock. With its simple and minimalist concept, which also plays with volumes and pays tribute to postmodern architecture, the hotel will stand as a symbol of modern elegance and creativity.

The planned hotel will bring even more energy and atmosphere to Marievik, serving as a natural meeting place for everyone who works or spends time in the area. It will provide offices with accommodation for visiting clients, services, and opportunities to hold meetings and conferences in an inspiring environment. The hotel will also offer quality dining, drinks, and other experiences such as a spa, exhibitions, and a vibrant stage for music and performances.
The ambition is to make the hotel an attractive destination even for visitors coming from further afield to experience Stockholm and this lively, dynamic part of the capital. The goal is to make all of Marievik a welcoming place with an international profile, alive every day of the week, early to late. Green spaces, including gardens and terraces, will be created to enliven the hotel building, along with a swimming pool and other amenities.

Marievik has enormous potential, and it is a pleasure to contribute to its development. Our project aims to symbolize the revival of the area. The concept is simple and minimalist, yet it plays with volumes as a tribute to the postmodern architecture in the district. We are also creating green spaces, including gardens and terraces, to bring life to the building.

The back streets surprise
Former back streets are being transformed into exciting cross streets with small shops and outdoor cafés, giving the area a unique charm and character, with the destination hotel forming the heart of the district. The space will accommodate small-scale, experimental, and creative ventures, with a colorful mix including studios, vintage clothing shops, bicycle workshops, and community spaces. Marievik is already an ideal place to test business ideas and launch new enterprises, and as the area develops, its distinct profile will become even more pronounced.
Part of Stockholm, part of the world
Marievik is home to several international companies, long established – including Pernod Ricard and Heidelberg Cement. And more are on their way. The languages you hear along the quay promenade or in the area’s cafés and restaurants are many. The area’s role as an international meeting place will become even more apparent when the planned hotel opens — a place not only for accommodating distant guests but also for meetings, recreation, dining, drinks, and entertainment.

Location and advantages
Getting to and from Marievik depends mostly on your preferred mode of transport. On foot, it’s just a four-minute walk to Liljeholmen, home to a shopping center with a wide range of stores, restaurants, and services. You also have access to both of the subway’s red lines, numerous bus routes, and the Tvärbanan, which stops at Årstadal, very close to Marievik, and Årstaberg, where you can connect to the commuter train. For trips to Arlanda or Bromma, the airport buses are conveniently nearby. Heading towards Hornstull takes only a few minutes on foot, with views from Liljeholmsbron. This makes it perfect for a city-adjacent destination hotel, attracting both tourists and Stockholmers on staycations.
